This handcrafted log home is near Walker, MN on Leech Lake. Overall the logs on this home were in good shape and none needed replacing. However, some of the logs were rotting a bit but the problem was caught in time. We were able to cut into the log and just replace the face of the logs.
This lakeside log cabin in northern Minnesota looked pretty weathered and rough when we arrived but all in all the logs were still in pretty good shape and it was just the stain that was the problem. We didn't have to do any log repair or replacement and just had to media blast the existing stain off of the logs to get down to raw wood again. After prepping the logs, restaining and replacing the chinking this log cabin was good to go again.
